Townsquare Media Buffalo Photos + Videos
As the DME at Townsquare Media Buffalo’s four radio stations — 92.9 Jack FM, WBLK, 96.1 Joy FM and WYRK — I acted as principal photographer and videographer for the stations, as well as at Townsquare’s live events. Here are some of the cool things I got to help put together…
“‘Happier Than Liz On Concert Day’ Geico Parody”
To promote one of WYRK’s Acoustic Shows, we had a little fun with Geico’s “Happier Than A Camel…” commercial.
“The Running Of The Ticket Wolf”
The Running Of The Bulls? Nah…we’ve got something better!
Zac Brown Band
I acted as station photographer for the Zac Brown Band concert at Darien Lake on Sunday, June 23, 2013. My photos are available for viewing on the WYRK website.
“South Buffalo Shamrock Shake”
When the “Harlem Shake” took the world by storm in Spring 2013, Joy FM and a South Buffalo Irish dancing troupe put a St. Patrick’s Day twist on the phenomenon.
“Buffalo’s Perfect Proposal”
WYRK helped surprise one lucky listener with a proposal on Valentine’s Day 2013!
Galleria Of Treats
Townsquare’s “green screen photo booth” (my idea, actually!) has been a huge hit at events around town, including the Walden Galleria’s annual Galleria Of Treats indoor trick-or-treating event. Check out how our photo booth photos turned out in 2012 on Joy FM’s website!
‘Journalism 2.0’ Presentation from TNGG/Hacks and Hackers Boston Meetup
On Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, a group of journalists (“hacks”) and techies (“hackers”) came together for a roundtable discussion, led by TNGG editor-in-chief Alex Pearlman and me, about the good, the bad and the questions that arise when old-school journalism practices combine with new social platforms. You can view a Storify, featuring our presentation and tweets from during the event, here.
“A Buffalo Tour”
As part of The Next Great Generation’s Cities Week (June 2010), I created a brief photo tour of my hometown of Buffalo, N.Y., set to the music of (who else?) The Goo Goo Dolls. (NOTE: Yes, I know Frederick Law Olmsted’s last name is spelled incorrectly. No, I don’t have the original files to go back and edit it.)
“Into the Twittersphere!”

“Twitter Tutorials: Sign Up”
